Contribute to the Preservation of Madison's History
Since its beginning, the Madison Historical Society has relied upon the generosity of contributors. Individuals who are passionate about history and have a special interest in historic preservation and education have always been our loyal financial supporters. Monetary contributions to our organization help to support our exhibitions and programs; they also ensure the conservation of our collections and the maintenance of our properties.
With the aid of your financial gifts, we can expand our collections, extend our services, and explore creative ways to improve our outreach in the community. Bequests and planned gifts are welcomed, as are donations to our operating budget through the purchase of memberships or contributions to our Annual Fund. If you would like to make a financial gift, please contact us at (203) 245-4567 or contact us by .
Pass It Along!
Many of the precious items in our collection have been given to us by individuals and families who want to share something of historical importance. You may own an artifact that will help us to preserve the experiences of your ancestors while educating others about some facet of Madison's past. Your grandmother's sewing cabinet or your great-uncle's lobster traps-or an assortment of tools or a basket of kitchen implements-may be just the missing pieces we have been hoping to find. Let us know if you believe you have an object that may be of interest to us. Furniture, decorative arts, tools, textiles, books, toys, clothing, paintings, and other objects may prove invaluable to our collections. We will be happy to evaluate your family's prized possessions, and, if appropriate, we would be delighted to add them to our holdings. Your generosity ensures their preservation for future generations. If you have an item to donate, please call us at (203) 245-4567 or contact us by .
